All-In-One Personal Alarm + Digital Dosimeter
- The PAD is a digital alarming dosimeter that detects low energy (down to 40 kEV) Gamma and X-Ray radiation in range of 0 to 9999 mREM or 0 to 99.99 mSv, with an accuracy of ± 20% to 2 R/hr in Cs137. - The PAD provides a 4 digit LCD readout of a precision accumulated dose within ± 5% and dose rate with audible and visual outputs. - Also, special alarms (siren) for an integrated dose over 200 mR/hr (2mSV) and $ 500 mR/hr actual field strength LCD shows actual field strength ± 30 count precision. - The alarm is activated when radiation fields exceed preset levels, or when a dose limit for a particular job is reached. - The PAD provides an immediate audible indication of changing radiation levels. - The signal is high pitched “chips” which increase in frequency to the proportion of the Gamma or X-Ray presents. - The dual range alarm feature provides a high range for normal monitoring purposes, such as during radiography (not annoying to the user) and a low range that is especially useful in checking for leakage from X-Ray or radioactive sources. - The construction of the unit is designed for long, dependable service under extreme conditions. The PAD is an ABS heavy wall injection molded case.
